The long-awaited debut EP from Erie, Pennsylvania doom quartet, featuring five blistering tracks filled with the heaviest riffs ever summoned from the depths of the Great Lakes. Featuring the single "Riff Wizzard".
FOG GIANT are a stoner doom band from Erie, Pennsylvania. Forming in 2018, the quartet combines formidable musicianship with walls of amplifiers and thundering percussion, summoning massive, fuzz-soaked riffs from beyond through layers of sonic textures.
2021 sees the release of the band's long-awaited debut EP, simply titled "Fog Giant" eponymously - a nod to their genre's legendary influences, proudly and indelibly displayed on their sleeves. The recording spans 30 minutes over 5 tracks, beginning with "Sky Burial" - sparsely-arranged beneath anguished vocals - traveling through the grooves of "Sesspool" and "Fog Giant", before arriving at the Sabbath-worshipping single "Riff Wizzard". The EP reaches it's climax with a crushing re-imagining of Uriah Heep's classic "Rainbow Demon", with searing leads giving way to punishing riffs serving as the EP's outro.
WITH BUZZ generating on streaming platforms and social media, FOG GIANT are looking towards 2022 and the future, planning for additional recordings and live performances.
For the EP's single "Riff Wizzard", we wanted to break the mold a little bit, and present some interesting visuals to accompany our music. Tune in, turn up, and take a trip with us.
